Born in Brazil, Fabrício Melo began his musical studies at age of eight. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in guitar performance at the Universidade de Brasilia in 2003 and his master of music degree at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2007. An enthusiast of early music and old instruments, he studies the lute, theorbo and old guitars. In France since 2009, he continued his studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, in the lute and theorbo class of Charles-Edouard Fantin, and at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Tours in the lute and guiterne class of Pascale Boquet. Then, he perfected with Claire Antonini. He performs as a soloist and as continuist with several baroque and renaissance music ensembles.
